Executive Team

The Executive Team set the strategic vision and direction of the Guild and ensure that the Guild is managed, financed and operated in strict accordance with the Guild constitution, to provide continuity and to vote on matters arising by democratic majority.

The Executive Team enacts key decisions for mutual benefit on financial, logistics, membership and organisational matters including meetings, AGM and exhibition planning, and any correspondence on behalf of the Guild membership. The Executive Team is comprised of elected representatives by the membership, for fixed term durations, and is currently comprised of the following representatives:

Guild Chairperson

Hazel brings a wealth of experience, passion and dedication to the promotion of artisan crafts across the County of Norfolk, and is a long-standing member of the Norfolk Craft Guild. Hazel is instrumental in shaping the Guild vision and future strategy for development, and ensuring its continued growth and relevance in promoting the highest quality artisan crafts throughout the East Anglia region and beyond.

Fused Glass and Dichroic Glass Jewellery
Hazel creates vibrant fused glass art and striking dichroic jewellery from her small studio on the beautiful North Norfolk coast. Her work reflects a deep love of unique, handmade jewellery and a lifelong fascination with the captivating possibilities of glass.

Louise Dossett

Guild Vice Chairperson

Working closely with the Chair and Executive Team, Louise contributes to the strategic direction of the Guild and supports with the leadership to the Guild Committee and membership. Louise helps to ensure seamless continuity in governance and representation. Her steady support and collaborative approach are key to maintaining the Guild's high standards and nurturing its vibrant community of makers.

Louise is a creative crochet artisan crafter specialising in handmade crochet dolls, animals, birds and familiar creations — all crafted with care, character, and a sense of fun. Each piece is thoughtfully designed and lovingly stitched using high-quality materials, with all items fully compliant with CE and UKCA safety regulations — making them perfect for children and collectors alike.

Victoria Bond

Guild Secretary and Guild Communications Officer

Victoria is the Guild Secretary and additionally holds the role of Communications Officer. Victoria brings energy, organisation, and a fresh perspective to the Guild's operations. In this key administrative role, she supports the Chair, Executive team and Committee in the smooth running of Guild activities, whilst helping to uphold its mission of promoting artisan crafts throughout Norfolk and beyond.

Papercutting and Papercraft
Victoria is emerging as a professional artist and artisan crafter with her extraordinary layered papercut artworks and precision hand-cut designs. Working from her home studio near Norwich, she creates intricate pieces entirely by hand — each cut made using a surgical-grade scalpel and crafted with patience, precision, and a deep respect for this traditional process and ancient oriental craft.

Sharon Stone

Guild Treasurer

Sharon brings a wealth of financial expertise and a strong commitment to the Guild's ongoing success. Having held this pivotal role for several years, Sharon provides financial oversight, governance, forecast and budget planning.

Metalwork sculptures, Mosaics and Pet Portraits
Sharon is a multi-disciplinary artist, known for her vibrant creativity, playful sense of humour, and ability to turn just about anything into art - and artisan craft. While she explores many different crafts and media, her most recognisable work lies in her striking welded animal sculptures—crafted from recycled tools, scrap metal, and salvaged wood. Each sculpture is a one-of-a-kind character, brought to life with a keen eye for form, texture, and personality. From expressive dogs to quirky farmyard creatures, her pieces celebrate the charm of the handmade and the beauty of giving old materials new life.

Guild Membership Secretary

Recently appointed to the new Executive role of Membership Secretary, Karen is responsible for overseeing the membership experience, ensuring that current members are well supported whilst working to attract new artisans to join the Guild.

Seed Bead Jewellery
After a long and distinguished professional career, Karen sought a quieter life and found herself immersed in the world of seed bead crafting. Karen is a self-taught yet talented jewellery maker and leverages her professional world experience in the Executive role of Membership Secretary of the Guild. She specialises in developing and crafting her exquisite seed bead designs at her home studio in North West Norfolk to create beautifully detailed necklaces, earrings, and bracelets—each piece crafted to an exceptionally high standard with a focus on colour, balance, and craftsmanship.

Eric Allen

Guild President

Eric has recently been elected to the distinguished and honorary position as President of the Norfolk Craft Guild as a result of his long-term and exemplary service – he is currently also the longest-serving Guild member today. The role as President of the Guild is to appoint the elected Chair of the Executive Team, and to maintain the discipline of the Guild membership and adherence to the Guild Constitution.

Eric is a master woodturner, renowned for his exceptional craftsmanship and decades of experience at the lathe. From elegant bowls and decorative boxes to beautifully balanced lamps, vases, and finely turned wooden apple pen holders, his work showcases both technical precision and artistic sensitivity.

Ordinary Member Representative

Lana has recently been elected to the Guild Committee as Ordinary Member Representative, encouraging and canvassing members' ideas and experiences, to be presented to the Committee.

Lampwork Glass Jewellery
Lana is an artisan crafter of lampwork glass jewellery based at her studio workshop in North Norfolk. Her journey into jewellery making began in 2010 with upcycled beads, but it was a glass bead making course in 2012 that truly ignited her passion. Since then, she has dedicated herself to the art, science (and artisan craft) of lampworking - transforming molten glass into vibrant, wearable works of radiant colour.

Sharon Barber

Crochet

Sharon creates crochet animals and she is an absolute whizz with a crochet hook, making all her creations of many adorable creatures from cute bunnies to penguins, and dinosaurs to sea animals like whales, an octopus or dolphins. At Guild exhibitions her table is always full of colour and cuteness.

Patchwork, Quilting and Textiles

A long-standing member of the Guild for over ten years, Helen is a dedicated textile artist specialising in patchwork quilts, appliqué cushions, and hand-finished fabric accessories. Her work combines traditional techniques with contemporary creativity, resulting in beautifully crafted pieces that are both decorative and practical.

Jayne Bunting

Ceramics

Working in clay, Jayne creates hand-built and wheel-thrown ceramic sculptures inspired by a deep love of nature and storytelling. Through humour, warmth and character, each piece celebrates creatures great and small, capturing the charm and personality of the whimsical beings that quietly inhabit the world around us. Ceramics became a second career for Jayne in 2012, when she began both sculpting and teaching. Since then, a distinctive body of work has evolved - playful yet skilfully crafted, balancing imagination with a strong connection to the natural world.

Enamel and Resin Jewellery

Christine is an enamel jewellery maker, working from her home studio on the peaceful outskirts of Norwich. Her jewellery is a celebration of colour, texture, and timeless technique, brought to life through the ancient art of enamelling. Christine is also a creative resin maker, known for her beautifully handcrafted keyrings and “pocket hugs” made with real preserved flowers.

Hand Painted Stained Glass

Nessa specialises in leaded glass, using traditional kiln-fired stained-glass painting methods that date back hundreds of years. Each piece involves carefully layering and firing multiple stages of paint, resulting in rich, intricate images that are both timeless and unique. From hanging window panels to custom pieces for doors, her work brings the outside in, capturing fleeting moments of nature in coloured glass and light.

Fabrics and Textile Sewing

Formerly embracing the lifestyle and travel being part of the Royal Air Force community and raising a family, after several deployments her family was stationed in Norfolk and she has since settled here and embraced a quieter, more creative path as a skilled fabric and textile artisan. Jan works from her home studio where her trusty sewing machine hums alongside careful hand-stitching to bring her ideas to life - one stitch at a time.

Painted Woodturning

Mike is a skilled woodturner working from his home workshop surrounded by the quiet beauty of the countryside, to create a wide range of hand-turned pieces that blend traditional craftsmanship with contemporary style. Using a lathe, he transforms raw timber into unique, functional art—bowls with rich grain and depth, vibrant resin and wooden pens, and other finely finished objects. Each piece is enhanced with techniques such as texturing, pyrography, and layered painting.

Dennis Honour

Woodworking

Dennis Honour has recently joined the Norfolk Craft Guild and has spent a lifetime of woodworking, combining traditional craftsmanship with creativity and a sharp eye for detail. Dennis has pecialised in handcrafted bandsaw boxes. Fascinated by the endless possibilities of shape, grain, and timber, he invested in a scroll bandsaw that allowed for more intricate cuts and flowing organic forms. The result is a distinctive collection of beautifully crafted boxes, each one unique in both design and character.

Loom Knitting

Linda Honour has recently joined the Norfolk Craft Guild and through the colourful and tactile craft of loom knitting, she brings with her many cheerful handmade pieces designed to bring warmth, comfort, and individuality into everyday life. Her work includes loom knitted hats and hanbags, cosy pom-pom baby blankets and richly coloured cushions. Working with both round looms and traditional wooden peg looms, she enjoys exploring the creative possibilities of yarn, texture, and colour.

Pat is a long-standing member of the Norfolk Craft Guild. Pat is known for creating beautifully handcrafted stained-glass pieces using the traditional Tiffany-style copper foil technique. With a passion for colour, light, and craftsmanship, she designs and makes an array of vibrant suncatchers, decorative mirrors, and ornamental glass decorations that bring joy and character to any space.

Based in her cosy home studio in Norwich, Catharine is a dedicated artisan specialising in hand-knitted alpaca yarn attire and accessories. With a passion for quality, colour, and comfort, she creates luxurious knitwear that’s as practical as it is beautiful. Using a blend of alpaca and silk yarn - renowned for being hypoallergenic, antibacterial, and moisture-wicking - she hand-knits each piece with care and creativity.

Working from her pottery studio surrounded by rural landscapes, she creates a distinctive range of wheel-thrown pottery that is both functional and beautiful - designed to be enjoyed and used in everyday life.

Handpainted and Embroidered Textiles

Sandy Newbold is a textile artist combining hand-sewn stitch, machine stitch, freehand machine embroidery and fabric painting to create expressive textile art inspired by nature. Sandy has sewn all her life, and her practice is rooted in sustainability, using mainly recycled and pre-loved fabrics, reclaimed textiles and trade waste, supporting charities and local small businesses through her materials sourcing and upcycling.

Indian Block Printing

Sally has developed a deep appreciation for one of India’s oldest textile traditions, which is rooted in the centuries-old craft of wooden block printing from Rajasthan - her work honours the skill of artisans who hand-carve each intricate block. Using traditional tools, every piece is individually printed by hand, resulting in truly unique, bespoke items. Fabric paints are carefully applied directly onto textiles, before being heat sealed to ensure durability and practicality for everyday use. Sally recently travelled to India to further deepen her skills and learn more directly from the Indian masters of this ancient craft.

Nature Craft and Garden Sculptures

Sarah brings her touch of whimsy and imagination to life through a growing collection of enchanting fairy houses. Having began her craft journey only in January 2024, sparked by an idea that arrived, quite literally, in a dream, Sarah has been developing her craft and ideas ever since, and each piece has evolved into a small but intricate world of its own - playful, characterful, and full of unexpected detail. No two houses are ever the same, and part of Sarah’s joy lies in watching each creation take shape, never entirely certain how it will look until the final touches are complete. Every fairy house is carefully handcrafted using a thoughtful mix of recycled and natural materials.
