Having retired, Karen sought a quieter life and found herself immersed in the world of seed bead crafting. Karen is a self-taught yet talented jewellery maker and leverages her professional world experience in the Executive role of Membership Secretary of the Guild. She specialises in developing and crafting her exquisite seed bead designs at her home studio in North West Norfolk to create beautifully detailed necklaces, earrings, and bracelets—each piece crafted to an exceptionally high standard with a focus on colour, balance, and craftsmanship.
Working with hundreds of tiny seed beads, Karen designs and hand-stitches each item individually, often creating complementary sets that offer both elegance and versatility. Her work features a wide range of styles, from bold and contemporary to delicate and intricate, always finished with a refined and unrivalled attention to detail. Her jewellery is known not only for its visual appeal but also for its durability and quality – and Karen has become particularly well-known and recognised for her seasonal designs, in particular – her bead-azzling Christmas tree earrings!
