Needle Felting
Mandy is a fibre artist and artisan crafter; whose creative journey began in 2020 during the Covid pandemic. What started as a personal exploration during lockdown soon developed into a deep and passionate craft practice rooted in the tactile beauty of wool and the meditative rhythm of needle felting.
Using 100% natural fibres—primarily Corriedale and Merino wool, with occasional touches of lambswool and shrunken cashmere—she creates richly textured pieces full of warmth and charm. Each work is carefully sculpted using felting needles, transforming loose wool into detailed framed artworks and thoughtfully crafted decorative items.
From miniature landscapes and abstract compositions to whimsical scenes and nature-inspired textures, her pieces often find a home in upcycled boxes, tins, and frames, adding an element of surprise and storytelling to everyday objects.
Her work celebrates sustainability, handmade craft, and the unique qualities of natural materials. With an eye for detail and a love for wool’s organic feel, Mandy creates pieces that are both comforting and quietly expressive—inviting touch, memory, and imagination.
